Jackson

Jackson

Early this past summer (2004), we said goodbye to one of our beloved Ragdolls. Although we were blessed with the time we did share with Oscar, the hole that he left in our household was tangible. Our other Ragdoll, Penelope, was visibly saddened as well and I wondered if our house would ever go back to the way it was. At the time, a replacement cat was not an option, but as the summer dragged on, we begun to realize that getting a new cat would not be a "replacement" for Oscar, but yet help us remember who he was and how much we loved him. Penelope was also lonely, and needed a new pal. A few months later, we brought home a new baby boy named Jackson. I didn't think it was possible, but "Jax" has brought back the joy and laughter in our home and helped us to heal with the loss of Oscar. When Penelope finally accepted him fully, they became playmates, companions, and friends. Jackson's seal point colors were a pattern that I had longed for, and it's fun every day to watch him mature and see his colors develop. It's like having a present that you open very slowly over the course of 3 years!
He is healthy, well-behaved, extremely social, talkative (especially when it serves his needs!), curious, and dashingly handsome. He's the star of the show when visitors stop by, and he loves to flop on us when we watch TV or fall asleep at night. At times we still miss Oscar, and wish he could still be a part of our family, but having Jackson nearby to cuddle with and laugh at has helped us all to be more grateful for what we have today. Thanks, Penny, for raising such a wonderful little kitten and for letting him be a part of our new family.

Thought you two would like to see how our "babies" look today. I took some photos earlier and I've attached them here for you. They are getting along famously and they sometimes even snuggle in the same bed while napping. Penelope now has a "son" and Jackson now has a new "mommie". Thanks again to both of you for raising such special kitties, and for letting them come home with us.

Enjoy!
Kristin
